This solution features a production capacity of 2 booths and 2 conventional preparation areas, aligned with the Anglo-Saxon organizational model, and four preparation areas aligned with the European organizational model.
For civil works, only two electrical and gas systems, two pits, and two duct kits are needed, rather than four or six. The economic savings in civil works cover a significant portion of the investment, without factoring in the operational advantages gained from increased efficiency compared to a classic bodyshop model.
- PRESENTATION
FixLine is an innovative workflow for automotive collision repair.
Unlike the traditional repair process, FixLine is designed to deliver continuous, fast, and highly efficient operations, reducing cycle time and increasing productivity.
- Key Advantages of the FixLine Process
- Guaranteed repair time
Vehicles are returned within 2 days from the start of the repair.
Once the process begins, it continues uninterrupted, reducing workflow duration from days to hours. - Segmented repair phases
Tasks are broken down, allowing the use of non-specialized workers—60% of the workforce. - +30% greater efficiency compared to traditional body shops
Each worker performs one dedicated task without switching activities, improving focus and throughput. - 40% less floor space required
FixLine layouts are compact and optimized. - Designed for high-volume operations
Ideal to manage 8 to 50 repairs per day.
Modular systems allow scalable control for extensive facilities.
Not optimal for low-volume shops processing only 2–3 repairs/day. - Works in synergy with advanced drying technologies to eliminate waiting times and enable continuous flow.
- Integrated Drying Technology
Symach has developed and owns multiple curing technologies used within FixLine:
| Technology | Application | Characteristics |
| Drytronic Infrared | Filler, primer, clear coat | Very fast curing |
| LED UV | Primers | Instant polymerization |
| DryKing Air | Waterborne products | Dries in 7 minutes |
These technologies used during the FixLine cycle reduce waiting time to just a couple of minutes, maintaining a continuous workflow.
- FixLine Operational Procedures
FixLine also introduces dedicated workflow procedures that differ from traditional repair management.
Standard workflow includes:
- Vehicle reception & washing
- Damage assessment, disassembly & parts ordering
- Body repair
- Filling phase (optional, based on region/process)
- Primer application
- Masking
- Painting
- Drying
- Demasking
- Polishing
- Reassembly
- Final wash & detailing
- Vehicle delivery
Additional procedures include:
- Daily planning and sequencing of jobs based on available working hours and actual repair time calculated by management software
- KPI monitoring for productivity per worker, department, and process stage
- Quality control is performed 4 times during the cycle, plus a final inspection before delivery
- Conclusion
FixLine is not just a rail system that moves the vehicle along the repair line.
It is a complete, integrated workflow solution that combines technology, process engineering, and production management.
It delivers:
✔ Faster cycle times
✔ Higher productivity & profitability
